BEECH POWER in the EU Regions Week

Last week, a volunteer of BEECH POWER, supported by the Interreg Volunteer Youth initiative, Rebecca Hollely went to the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, Belgium. During her week, she had the opportunity to promote volunteering and Interreg BEECH POWER to many of the more than 10,000 conference participants.

During EU Week of Regions and Cities, she also had the opportunity to attend many workshops, and even participated in the workshop organised by IVY ‘The EU at Hand: New Inputs from Volunteers’, speaking about the Citizen Engagement Activity she is organising in Eberswalde, which focuses on beech forests.

‘I found the whole week so inspiring. I came across many innovative ideas and creative solutions to work for a greener, smarter society connecting its citizens, and I left with many ideas and a much wider network. I can’t wait to out my new knowledge into practice with BEECH POWER.’
